Guido Migliozzi enjoyed a large amount of success on the Alps Tour since turning professional in 2016, winning three times during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. He has followed this by securing his card, as category 17, for his debut season on the European Tour in 2018 earning the 16th card at the Final Stage of Qualifying School.
Guido tested M5 driver and after taking it out on the course at the ISPS Handa Vic Open and it was perfect for him. Speaking to Mark Thistleton, TaylorMade tour representative on Guido’s testing and fitting process he said ‘It was potentially one of the shortest fittings I have ever done. He hit about 5 drives, I made a couple of tweaks to the set up, he hit about 10 more, the numbers were great, and he hit every shot great!”.
Carding a 69 in the final round to get to 16 under, one shot clear of his nearest competitor, Migliozzi held his nerve to win his first European Tour title after his 14th start on tour, also winning him the Golfer of the Month for March 2019. Guido qualified for the knockout stages and went on to eventually beat Darius Van Driel in the final of the Belgian Knockout. The victory moves Migliozzi to 21st on the Race to Dubai Rankings Presented by Rolex, into the top 100 on the Official World Golf Ranking, and makes him the second 2018 Q School graduate to win twice on the 2019 Race to Dubai after fellow Team TaylorMade Athlete Kurt Kitayama.
