Team TaylorMade's Day One Round Up at The US Open

Here’s everything you need to know from Thursday at Pebble Beach;

Rory McIlroy’s quest for his second US Open title got off to the fast start he wanted as he carded four birdies en route to an opening 68.

“To get off to such a good start you are right in the tournament from the start which is a nice position to be in.”

- Rory McIlroy

All four of McIlroy’s previous Major Championship wins came after a first round in the 60s, and it doesn't look like he’s lost his winning momentum.

Jon Rahm got out of the gates early as he started birdie-birdie-birdie and was happy with his form.

“I am happy with the start, I would have taken around even par."

- Jon Rahm

Speaking to Rahm ahead of the US Open he emphasied the importance of his driving irons.Rahmbo used a combination of M5 driver, M5 fairway and an RSI TP UDI 4-iron to find fairways, hitting 79% of the fairways and 72% (T11) green in regualtions in round one it's a powerful combo that bodes well going forward.
